A new Educational Psychology consultation offer for parents
Looking for a supportive space to think through SEN questions, challenges or next steps for your child?
Parent Solution Circles are small, Educational Psychologist-led consultation groups designed to help parents explore concerns, share experiences and identify practical, achievable solutions in a supportive and confidential environment.
- Up to 6 parents
- 90 minutes
- Online
- Confidential
Grounded in psychology and consultation practice
The circles are grounded in psychological theory and consultation practice. They give you the chance to reflect with other parents who may be experiencing similar challenges, while benefiting from the facilitation and expertise of an Educational Psychologist.
In a circle, you can
- Gain new perspectives on your child's needs
- Share strategies with parents who understand
- Develop practical next steps you can try at home
- Reflect on what is already working
- Feel listened to and supported
What they are not
Circles are collaborative discussions. They are not:
- training sessions or lectures
- one-to-one consultations or assessments of your child
- a place where you have to share anything you'd rather keep private
The group is solution-focused: we build on your knowledge of your child and on what the group already knows.
Four simple steps

Dr Eve Mbire-Chigumba, Educational Psychologist
I have experience across local authority services, early years, SEND outreach and assessment coordination, having worked alongside children, families and schools in a range of educational settings. Throughout my career, I've seen how powerful it can be when parents have a space to think together, share experiences, feel genuinely heard and empowered.
I am launching the Parent Solution Circles to create a supportive, strengths-based community where parents can explore challenges collaboratively and leave with practical ideas, renewed confidence and a greater sense of connection.

Questions parents ask
Who can join?
Parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities, or where you have concerns about your child's development, learning or wellbeing.
Does my child need a diagnosis?
No. You're welcome whether your child has a diagnosis, is on a waiting list, or you simply have questions.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Everyone in the group agrees to keep what is shared within the circle. You choose how much you share. [Safeguarding limits to confidentiality: wording to be agreed with Eve.]
Will I have to talk about my child in front of others?
Only as much as you feel comfortable with. Many parents find it helpful just to listen at first.
Is this therapy or an assessment of my child?
No. Circles are group consultations, not therapy, training or individual assessment. If you need individual support, the facilitator can talk with you about where to find it.
Where and when do sessions take place?
Sessions take place online, and you'll be sent a joining link once your place is confirmed. [Days and times to be confirmed.]
Is there a cost?
No. The pilot groups are free to join.
What information do you ask for when I register?
Just your name, email, your child's age group and your availability, plus a tick to confirm you agree to us using your details. We won't ask about your child's needs at this stage. See our privacy notice for details.
